'Probably the Best Scoot Bike Out There' Bike Radar. Why choose a Steady Eddie? Well, these bikes have been selected by Sports Trust in Hemel Hempstead to run 'learn to ride courses with Steady Eddie', because... The Steady is made from lightweight birch plywood that features a central hand hold, located at the balance point, making it easy to carry for children and parents as the handle bars won't bash your legs when walking straight armed. The wheels are solid to ensure that no fingers or toes will ever get trapped. The solid tyres (equivalent to 40 psi) makes it easy to ride and are maintenance free. The Steady is a toy that will last, for example each bike comes with a removable padded seat in pink and blue so that it can be passed on to brothers and sisters, friends or cousins for years of fun. Each bike has soft hand grips which also ensure that no cars will get scratched from the budding cyclist. CE Mark. Steady Eddie Bikes have been shown to pass all required testing and meet all the legislative standards set by the EU. The Bike is suitable for children aged 2yrs 10mths - 5yrs of age and weighs an optimum 3.4kgs. Light enough for a 2 year old yet robust enough for an aggressive 6 year old. The adjustable seat heights range from 35.5cm low position, 38.5cm mid position and 41.5cm highest position. We have many years of road cycle racing experience and have included this into the practical features of the Steady Eddie Bike. For example Eddie's Mum's knowledge of being an Osteopath and British Cycling Federartion Cycling Coach have ensured that this is a very useable bike. We believe that learning to ride should be comfortable, enjoyable and can be very easy with a Steady Eddie balance bike. 14/02/2008 EVERYDAY CYCLING – The leisure arm of the British Cycling Federation Well made, stylish, fun and well thought out. A hit! All in all, we really couldn't fault the Steady Eddie. Sure, its not the first or only learner bike on the market - Like-a-Bike has marketed a range of wooden and aluminium starter bikes for a few years. Isla Rowntree's Islabikes range also includes a scoot along option. What makes the difference is the price, currently at £79.99, undercutting the competition substantially, with no apparent sacrifices in quality... 14/02/2008 BIKERADAR.COM Probably the best wooden 'scoot-bike' out there We prefer the Steady Eddie over the Kiddiemoto on the basis of having better wheels and tyres and proper grips. It probably pips the Like-A-Bike too for similar reasons. The Steady is Alex's favourite wooden bike... My daughter loves it. Only wish we'd got one for our eldest when she was the same age. The bike has replaced the pushchair and comes with us everywhere. Richard. Thanks for the swift delivery, it arrived on the Monday morning. Tom loves his new bike! He was whizzing down hill within two days (feet up of course!). Lots of parents are asking us about it. We're encouraging them all to get one! Thanks for taking the time to e-mail me. I wish you every success with your business. It must be very satisfying to build something that makes so many children so happy. Best of luck to you James. I decided on the Steady Eddie bike as it seems to be well made and i am a big fan with wooden toys. I also liked the idea that the bike has two different coloured seats, it can be passed onto his sister when she is old enough! Fiona Thank you so much. So good to deal with a company that has a human caring touch. I am so looking forward to seeing Hannah get to grips with her bike. I will update you as we progress. Thanks again, and good luck with your business. Christine Ian, we love the bike. We're big fans. Paul
