"Impressionistic dramatic paintings in an impasto style,passonate and emotive. German Expressionist Style.
As a lover of Rugby Union and sport in general this painting has given me great pleasure, the way the artist captures the movement of the players is excellent. One has to wonder at the skill in knowing when to stop painting, if that sounds ridiculous think about it, to much detail and the painting would lose the atmosphere, very clever.
The technique of the artist is further demonstrated when you view all of his life drawings as well. Allan seems to know just when to stop, brilliant.
