Swansea and Mumbles Lighthouse by Allan Storer.. This lovely painting of Swansea's Mumbles Lighthouse. a "stones throw" from the artists former home and the now famous Wales actress Catherine Zeta Jones is another departure for Allan, from his well known rugby genre painting. It is a lovely print, especially when framed or mounted for full effect.
An unusual style and an unusual gift. Painted en plein by Allan this work contrasts to his usual style of working and re-working a painting, sometimes leaving it untouched for months until he can achieve some kind of completion.

Giclee Reproduction Process: A giclee (zhee-CLAY) is an individually-produced, high-resolution, high-fidelity reproduction done on a special large format printer. Giclees are produced from digital scans of existing artwork, creating a whole new vibrant medium for art. Giclees are particularly suited to canvas and are superior to traditional lithography in several ways. The colors are brighter, last longer, and are so high-resolution that they are virtually continuous tone, rather than tiny dots. The range, or "gamut" of color for giclees is far beyond that of lithography, and details are crisper. Giclees use inkjet technology, the ink is sprayed on, actually mixing the color to create true shades and hues.
