Allan Storer's striking figures mirror image the passion central to the game of rugby "I think that an artistic piece should communicate its essential meaning". In these paintings he hopes to illustrate the organicre not meant to be just part of household décor but images in their own right.
His images are strong and bold expressionist works, mirroring the emotional energy and adrenaline central to the physical game. "My aim is to raise the subjective feelings above objective observations."
Allan's work draws an inevitable comparison to the highly regarded and extremely fashionable German Expressionists of the early Twentieth Century.
