Part 1 of a 5-part series of interactive DVDs for children aged 8 months to 5 years old. Our disks will help them learn to read and speak English as their first or second language. The disk comprises 5 cartoon stories each of which presents in a special way up to 10 new words and phrases to read and up to 5 full sentences. The stories feature a small child called “Babe” and follow the discoveries he makes of his world both at home and further afield. On this disk the stories are :

There are a number of interactive learning exercises, suitable for different levels within the above age range. These exercises will require the parents’ help in pressing buttons on the DVD player handset or the child’s own ability to use the handset to give the answer. The learning method employed in Bridge to English Read Before You Can Walk video-books is simple and effective, using a variety of cartoons and multiple repetitions of the same words, phrases or sentences in a fun context and a game format.
