Gearboxes for use with metal halide lamps. Electronic gearboxes give better lamp performance flicker free operation. They are also useful where the site voltage may be liable to fluctuate beyond the lamps rated limits. It is recommended that ceramic metal halide lamps are always used in conjuncion with electronic gearboxes to ensure best performance. Magnetic gearboxes feature timed ignitor and thermal cut-out.
