Champions Case of 12 award winning bottled real ales. The Champions Case
Fuller's 1845, 6.3%, winner of numerous awards. Highly acclaimed strong ale and was described by Roger Protz as 'a rich beer with a fruit cake aroma, spices and nutmeg from malt and hops resulting in a dry, fruity finish'.
Hole Hearted 4.7%, silver in the SIBA National Beer Competition 2004, bottled beer category. A golden ale with powerful, floral and tropical fruit flavours. It has a delicate bitterness. A beer will surprise with every mouthful.
Mr Perretts 5.9%, A powerful stout with liquorice and chocolate in both the nose and the front of the mouth and with a long, smooth slightly sweet finish. Marris Otter, black malt and fuggles hops.
Pitchfork Rebellious Bitter 4.3% Commemorates the local Pitchfork rebellion in 1685, this is a single malt beer made only with pale malt. This makes it a particularly light, golden beer, with a fresh hoppy aftertaste. It has won many awards.
Old Slug Porter, 4.7% (Silver medal at the Burton International Brewing Festival and Bronze in the CAMRA Bottle-conditioned Beer of the Year 2003)
A traditional bottle-conditioned porter - full bodied taste of chocolate, coffee, blackcurrant and black cherry with a good aroma. A near black colour with a good white head, bitter coffee with some sweetness, nuttiness and hops behind. Very full, dry finish of bitter coffee bodied.
Original Port Stout 4.5%, (Guardian/CAMRA Champion bottle-conditioned Beer of Britain 2003. Softened with a measure of Rich Ruby Port, a recognised classic of craft brewing.
Pride of Romsey 5%, Hops! Abundant aroma of the fruit of the hop, citrus and fragrant with orange, grapefruit and lemon hints. Powerful hop aroma through to after taste with distinctive bitterness complemented by good strength of malt character.
Summer Lightning 5%, Terrific straw-coloured beer with a fresh, hoppy aroma and a well rounded, malty flavour with an intense bitterness which leads to an excellent long dry finish.
