Giclee Reproduction Process: A giclee (zhee-CLAY) is an individually-produced, high-resolution, high-fidelity reproduction done on a special large format printer. Giclees are produced from digital scans of existing artwork, creating a whole new vibrant medium for art. Giclees are particularly suited to canvas and are superior to traditional lithography in several ways. The colors are brighter, last longer, and are so high-resolution that they are virtually continuous tone, rather than tiny dots. The range, or "gamut" of color for giclees is far beyond that of lithography, and details are crisper. Giclees use inkjet technology, the ink is sprayed on, actually mixing the color to create true shades and hues.

.Allan's striking figures mirror image the passion central to the game of rugby "I think that an artistic piece should communicate its essential meaning". This painting leans towards the organic in every sense, clinging mud, struggling players. It's not just part of household décor but a work of art in its own right.
The original oil painting "Maul" along with "Victory" has enjoyed a long term exhibition at the Rugby Football Museum in Twickenham.
- Jed Smith, Curator, Rugby Museum, Twickenham says,.
"VERY IMPRESSIONISTIC, VERY LEFT FIELD...
...these two oils are lovely, very striking.....his style is quite distinctive."
