High quality tyre pressure gauge/control unit can be programmed with the correct tyre pressures for your car (front and rear), and displays on large LCD screen.
Then use control unit to programme each individual cap to detect that pressure, and screw them onto your tyre valves.
Subsequently, check tyre pressures by just holding control unit close to cap. An LED lights up in the cap, the colour of which indicates the pressure status:
GREEN indicates that your tyre is within 10% of correct - no problem
YELLOW indicates your tyre is between 10% and 20% underinflated - worth correcting
RED indicates more than 20% underinflated - correct urgently!
GREEN and RED flashing alternately indicates your tyre is >20% over-inflated
Supplied with tough nylon pouch for storing control unit in your glove compartment
Caps can be reprogrammed over and over again, eg. if you change vehicle or want to alter tyre pressures for towing.
Control unit powered by 2xAAA batteries (supplied and replaceable)
Caps powered by internal lithium cell (not replaceable but guaranteed life of 3 years and likely to last significantly longer - replacement caps available)
