A top quality antique reproduction chair on classical French themes, featuring real gold leaf finish and real silk upholstery. Normal retail price around £279. This item is from the Versailles range which are all made entirely by hand by carvers and craftsmen. All the range is finished in genuine gold leaf, hand applied onto a coating of Gesso and firmly glued and brushed into the contours of the carving. To reproduce the antique effect faithfully, distressing is carefully controlled to highlight selected areas where most natural wear would have occurred.
