This detailed bookend has a great story and strong design and has always been popular. The complex entrance includes the statues of Queen Victoria above and Prince Albert below. The museum of decorative art and design was first opened to the public in 1852 following the success of London's Great Exhibition at Crystal Palace.
This bookend is made using British gypsum plaster which allows highly exquisite detail. Additional detail is made using thin metal leaf. Dimensions: W 21.5cm (8.5") H 20cm (8") D 6.5cm (2.5").
