Welcome!

The Bay Horse Inn is situated opposite the village cross and is a very attractive building dating back to 1600. The original beams are in evidence and it boasts an unusual circular, iron chandelier. Over the open fireplace is a coat of arms of the Harewood family who previously owned the Pub, and indeed the whole village. In 1958 the land, including the pub was sold for £4,200.

The pub was once a staging post, and before that there was a Roman settlement in the area. The Bay Horse has gained a reputation for fine Food and Wines. Our recently renovated restaurant offers traditional home cooked meals which are served daily. Our award winning garden is tucked away at the rear of the pub for the enjoyment of our guests and is the ideal place to relax. We can also cater for parties, weddings and indeed most private functions as marquee facilities can be arranged if you need to accommodate in excess of 80 guests.

The landlady, June, will be happy to discuss menus with you as we tailor our menus to suit your individual requirements. With 20 years experience as the landlady you can be assured of our personal attention to details at all times.
